Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos has been spotted mixing with fans ahead of Tuesday’s crunch clash.
The 49-year-old is currently a Los Blancos ambasador and is set to be present at Anfield for the highly-anticipated Champions League clash.
Carlos was all smiles before the match as he took to the city centre of Liverpool for pre-match drinks.
The former left-back was seen at the famous Matthew Street, visiting bars alongside both set of supporters.
There will be no doubts who Carlos will be supporting, though, having spent over a decade in Madrid during his playing career.
Over the course of 11 years, he made 527 appearances for the LaLiga giants with 70 goals and 102 assists from defence.
Carlos also won multiple trophies with Real, including four league title and the Champions League on three occasions.
In a repeat of last season’s final, Real will take on Liverpool and manager Carlo Ancelotti is aware of the problems the hosts can cause.
Speaking in his press conference on Tuesday, he said: ‘Liverpool have never changed their quality. We expect an intense game, we will be under pressure a lot, a game where we haven’t got time to breathe.
‘We know very well what to expect and we are prepared for that.’
