West Brom striker, Callum Robinson has tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time ahead of Ireland’s upcoming triple-header of World Cup qualifiers.
West Brom manager Valerian Ismael confirmed in a statement that Robinson, along with goalkeeper David Button contracted Covid-19, which made them missed out in their Carabao Cup tie against Arsenal.
Robinson previously contracted Covid-19 last November, missing Ireland’s friendly away to England in Wembley.
The striker was set to be named among the squad for Ireland’s World Cup qualifiers against Portugal, Azerbaijan and Serbia in September.
His absence will come as a severe blow to teh national team , the West Brom striker have started the season in fine form, with three goals in four Championship games.
