Manchester United boss Erik ten hag drops comments on casemiro abilities

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has added further praise for midfielder Casemiro, insisting the Brazilian is the ‘cement’ that keeps our whole side together.

Performing valiantly once again in our 1-0 win over West Ham on Sunday at Old Trafford, the former Real Madrid man has nailed down a starting position within Ten Hag’s team recently.

Partnered with Christian Eriksen in the middle for the triumph, our no.18 could be seen both directing and dictating the play throughout, as we made it eight games unbeaten.

Amplifying his praise for Casemiro, our Dutch boss insists that having him on the pitch helps to connect our play.

”I call him the cement in the midfield,” he began in his post-match press conference.

”I think in and out of possesion, he makes such a difference and he gives the team [an] extra edge and helps them dominate.

”I say in and out of possession because he can dominate games and he gives the team [that] extra edge to help dominate in the game.

Having now only been on the losing side twice since his summer move from Real Madrid, the 30-year-old continues to become a integral part of the Reds’ progression under Ten Hag’s tutelage.

With only four games now until the season pauses for the start of the World Cup in Qatar, our next outing sees the Reds travel to Spain to take on Real Sociedad in the Europa League.

With the side seemingly brimming with confidence as of late, Ten Hag insisted Casemiro’s know-how on the pitch is helping United’s other players around him all the more.

”He can also read the game and he helps the players by pointing them into the right positions,” added the boss. ”He is anticipating both in and out of possession and also he sees the pass between the lines.

”One of the highlights in the game was his pass to [Diogo] Dalot in the first half.

”He is a top player and I am really happy to have him here.”
