MANCHESTER UNITED are interested in signing Celta Vigo starlet Gabri Veiga, according to reports.
The Red Devils are “keeping tabs” on the 20-year-old having been impressed by his displays in Spain this season.
Veiga, 20, has bagged nine goals and laid on four assists in 26 LaLiga appearances from midfield this term.
According to Football Insider, the Red Devils have scouted Veiga on a number of occasions already.
And on each visit their scouts have left impressed, delivering “rave reviews”.
Erik ten Hag’s side are not the only team to be interested in Veiga, however.
Manchester City and Arsenal have also been monitoring the Spain youth international’s progress.
Veiga debuted for Celta as a teenager back in 2020.
He has made 45 appearances thus far, scoring nine times.
While he primarily plays in midfield, he has also been deployed as a No10.
United are also claimed to be keen on keeping Marcel Sabitzer on a permanent basis.
The Austrian midfielder joined the Red Devils on loan from Bayern Munich in January following Christian Eriksen’s injury.
Sabitzer, 29, has made 12 appearances for United since making his temporary switch – including a 20 minute cameo in the Carabao Cup final victory over Newcastle.
