Kyle Walker rages after receiving yellow card for rare offence in Man City’s clash against Arsenal

WALK THE WALK KYLE WALKER was left furious with the referee after being handed a yellow card for a rarely seen offence.

The Manchester City star received the booking in the 34th minute of his side’s clash with Arsenal for coming onto the pitch to play the ball without permission.

The veteran defender had been receiving treatment on the touchline, and had not yet been waved back on.

But that didn’t stop Walker from stepping back on to the field of play and booting the ball when it came his direction.

Despite breaking the rules, Walker was fuming with the decision by Anthony Taylor.

FA Law 12 details the reasons behind the booking.

It says: “A player is cautioned if guilty of: entering, re-entering or deliberately leaving the field of play without the referee’s permission.”

The top-of-the-table clash has seen both sides get on the score sheet.

Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring after latching onto a poor back pass from Takehiro Tomiyasu.

As the second half approached Arsenal grew into the game and were eventually rewarded for their efforts by being awarded a penalty.

Eddie Nketiah was played through on goal and swiped an effort towards goal, only for the effort to be cleared off the line.

But Nketiah had been wiped out by the on-rushing Ederson, and Taylor pointed to the spot, with fans having a theory regarding the nature of the pen.

Bukayo Saka then duly dispatched from 12 yards to level the score.

Two sides went into the break even, though Man City hit the crossbar just before.

Arsenal are missing key midfielder Thomas Partey after he was ruled out due to a muscular injury.

It has seen Jorginho come into the fold for his first start in Arsenal colours.
