JAMB nullifies national cut off mark, announces new decisions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has cancelled the previous national cut off marks while announcing a new decision pertaining to securing admission into Nigerian academic institutions.

In a meeting held today, 31st August 2021 Tuesday, ably presided over by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, the body announced the cancellation of the previous cut off marks as it reached the conclusion that various academic institutions would have the capacity to decide their various cut-off marks.

The Registrar of JAMB Prof. Is-haq Oloyede went on to highlight certain universities that have already fixed their cut off mark; such as the University of Maiduguri (150), Usman Dan Fodio University Sokoto (140), Pan Atlantic University (210), University of Lagos (200), Lagos State University (190), Covenant University (190), and Bayero University Kano, (180).

It was also agreed that the 2021 admissions will be conducted only through JAMB CAPS and no institution is allowed to admit candidates without uploading their details on the official portal.
